7: ADA, IDEA, and the other legislation that I read about in this first assignment apply to my working life because I work in the field of education. The field of education is typically a government-funded endeavor that is required to follow the legislation that is written. Now that I am aware what the legislation that is out there for individuals with disabilities I feel like they are needed. Having these rights and required treatments written into law gives people who could possibly be overlooked a voice to give themselves power over their education and working life.
